About Lui-Ngai-Ni

Lui Ngai Ni is the seed-sowing festival celebrated by the Naga clans of Manipur India. The celebration is commended every year on 14–15 February toward the beginning of the spring season. Amid the celebration, the Naga clans in Manipur in particular Anal, Mao, Maram, Poumai, Tangkhul, Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei, Puimei, Moyon, Monsang, Maring, Tarao, Lamkanq, Chothe, Kharam, Chiru, Koireng, and Thangal meet up at the assigned area to join and exhibit their rich social legacy. 
 
The festival is a unique event to respect and conciliate the divine forces of yield and to appeal to God for the prosperity of the general population. Different social exercises are exhibited amid the celebration, for example, Cultural Dances and melodies, including different social clothing appears, lighting of the fire, drum thumping, customary society moves and tunes. Lui-Ngai-Ni is commended in all the Naga occupied regions in Manipur, notwithstanding, the fundamental party is facilitated on the other hand at the Naga inabited region central station to be specific Ukhrul, Tamenglong, Senapati and Chandel.
